The "Diabetes Self Management Education" course shows diabetics the skills they need to manage the disease.

The four-week course covers how food, medications, exercise and emotions affect daily blood sugar levels.

It is taught by a team of specially trained diabetes educators -- Sandy Sturgis, a Registered Nurse, and Registered Dietitian Terry Passano.

Participants will be helped to devise individual, personalized plans for self management.

For information -- and to register -- contact Sturgis weekdays at (410) 968-3194, or by fax at (410) 968-1015.
