McCready welcomes new chief nursing officer

Mary Beth Waide, RN MS JDMary Beth Waide of  Selbyville, DE is the new Chief Nursing Officer at McCready Foundation, which operates a hospital, outpatient clinic and nursing home in Crisfield.

In that post, she is responsible for all patient-care operations at McCready Memorial Hospital, its outpatient center and emergency department.

Waide comes to McCready from Executive Health Resources in Philadelphia, a firm that supports client-hospitals with teams of expert advisors dedicated to increasing quality of care and optimizing efficiency.

She also has served as the Chief Compliance Officer of Nanticoke Health Services in Seaford, DE, and worked as an emergency-room nurse and Trauma Nurse Coordinator at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.

Waide earned her registered nurse degree from Salisbury State, now Salisbury University. Her master's degree is from Wilmington College - now Wilmington University - where she studied management and information systems.

She also holds a law degree from the Concord University School of Law in Los Angeles, CA.

Waide is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Health Care Compliance Association and the American Society for Hospital Risk Managers.

Her community-based activities include serving as a mentor at East Millsboro Elementary School. She and her husband, Todd, have four children: Tanner, 14; Logan, 13; McKenzie, 11, and Morgan, 9.
