Pre Diabetes
Do you ever wonder how your doctor determined you have diabetes?  There are standards set by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) that let medical personnel know how to diagnose the disease.

You have either pre-diabetes or diabetes if you have two consecutive readings of the following criteria, in any order:

Pre-diabetes

  • Fasting sugar >100 and <126

Type 1 and 2 Diabetes:

  • Nonfasting sugar > 200 and classic symptoms
  • Fasting sugar >126
