Diagnostic Services

The Lab at the McCready Memorial Hospital Patients who live or work close to McCready Memorial Hospital can have most laboratory and imaging tests done here, regardless of where their physicians offices are located. All that is needed is a doctor’s prescription for the procedure. If you’ve been here before for tests or treatment and we have your medical records, you can pre-register for your tests. To preregister, call (410) 968-1030 on the day before you come in for testing.

Lab

Stacy Shockley McCready’s clinical laboratory is staffed by certified medical technologists and supervised by a clinical pathologist. Most common lab tests are performed here. We can send blood samples to other laboratories as well. For your convenience, we will draw blood for tests at no charge for individuals whose insurance requires testing be done by LabCorp. Contact the laboratory at (410) 968-1047 or by e-mailing lab manager, Stacy Shockley .

X-rays & scans

Lesli Whitelock The Imaging Department performs most of the common tests your physician might prescribe, including X-rays, low-radiation CT scans and MRIs. Results are sent to your doctor within 24 hours. We perform mammographies and if a test reveals possible complications, we can do the follow-up procedures, too. Breathing disorders

Gary Smith Sr. Under the supervision of a pulmonologist, respiratory therapy and evaluations – for patients with breathing disorders – is a speciality that we are pleased to offer. Send an e-mail to department manager Gary Smith or call 410 968-1200 (ext. 3256).
