We take pride in our ability to provide immediate care and treatment of patients. Whether it is a fish hook in the finger, a broken arm, a life-threatening stroke or a heart attack, we are ready and willing to care for you.
Our Emergency Department is staffed around-the-clock with highly trained, experienced and dedicated emergency physicians, nurses and technicians. ER doctors are members of Emergency Service Associates, the same group of board-certified professionals employed by other lower Eastern Shore of Maryland hospitals. They typically see patients in 15 minutes or less.
Our Emergency Department is accessible by water and air as well as by land. We are among the few hospitals in the region with a dock only a few yards from an "Emergency" entrance.
STAT MedEvac, a helicopter ambulance service, can fly a McCready E.R. patient needing more specialized treatment to a critical-care hospital in a fraction of the time it would take to drive.
