Personalized Care to Achieve Your Goals!
McCready offers comprehensive rehabilitation services to help people recover from disabilities due to illness, accidents, injuries, or the after effects of some surgeries.
Our specialties include physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy.
Our convenient hours are:
8-4:30 Monday - Thursday (by appointment)
8-3:00 Friday (by appointment)
Flexible scheduling available upon request.
For an appointment, please contact us at 410.968.1017
Therapy also is available in the inpatient rehabilitation center at the Alice B. Tawes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center
and for outpatients at McCready Memorial Hospital.
Our licensed and certified physical therapists help patients restore or improve physical functioning. Together, they focus on building muscular strength, flexibility, balance, coordination and endurance. They also show patients how to use braces, wheelchairs, crutches, artificial limbs and other adaptive equipment.
Occupational Therapy (OT) provides people with adaptable strategies to regain the skills they need for daily living. OT patients learn new techniques to help with bathing, dressing and grooming, and how to modify work and home environments to accommodate disabilities. Our occupational therapist is skilled in hand-injury therapy and in therapy for people with lymphedema.
Speech and language therapy helps patients improve the way they understand or express language. Our speech therapist works with patients with swallowing disorders that impede their ability to eat or drink safely. Pediatric speech therapy is another service available at McCready.
What to expect on your first visit
At McCready Rehab and Sports Care, we believe that our patients deserve the highest quality care and level of respect. Our multidisciplinary team addresses all areas of health and wellness, to include physical, functional, and cognitive health with the overall goal of improving your quality of life and allowing you to regain independence.
After checking in with the receptionist on your first visit, you will be seen by a licensed and experienced therapist who will see you through your rehabilitation. The therapist will work with you to perform an evaluation, establish goals, and determine the appropriate plan of care to effectively achieve your goals. Additionally, your therapist will communicate with other health care providers to assure you have the best care possible.
Each treatment session lasts approximately 45 minutes.
