What is Speech-Language Pathology?

Speech-Language Pathologists evaluate and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals of all ages.

Speech-Language therapy interventions may address:

• Speech and/or language skills to improve the ability to communicate
• Swallowing abilities to reduce or eliminate coughing/choking and health risks from aspiration.
• Memory, attention, and problem-solving skills to improve safety and independence.
