The McCready Foundation has three auxiliaries. Each operates as a separate, community volunteer group. Some auxilians support the hospital and the nursing home with personal volunteer service hours. Others raise funds for hospital and nursing home programs through special events and raffles. The president of each auxiliary serves on the McCready Foundation’s Associate Board of Directors.
The Senior Auxiliary, also called the Senior Board, is a group of volunteers that assists with clerical duties throughout the hospital. They also raise money to purchase equipment, such as a specialized emergency room stretcher / hospital bed.
The Junior Auxiliary, also known as the Junior Board, also holds fund-raising events to help the hospital purchase equipment. A recent gift was a state-of-the art stretcher for the surgical suite.
The Tawes Nursing Home Auxiliary members donate equipment, serve as volunteers, and do fund-raising to support the special needs of the residents of the Alice B. Tawes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
