 Sept. 18, 2009
The building fund for the new Alice B. Tawes Nursing & Rehabilitation Center took a big step closer to its $1 million goal, courtesy of a generous $1,000 gift from the Hebron Savings Bank. Left to right are: Gregory W. Johnson, bank president and CEO; Scott Tawes, a member of the bank's board of directors; building campaign chairman Jay Tawes accepting the check from bank vice president and Crisfield branch manager James Byrd III, and McCready CEO Charles F. Pinkerman. The new Tawes center - including its fourth-floor assisted living center - is 50 percent complete and will open in spring 2010.
